Calling all "Jones Beach Bums" from the 1970's!
We may have scattered across the country, but we hold in our hearts the sweet memories of our carefree teenage years at Jones Beach, in Long Island New York. Field 4, of course, by the Boardwalk!
United in Friendship
Plainview, Uniondale, East Meadow, Bellmore, Wantagh, Levittown, Hicksville, Seaford, Farmingdale, Syosset, Merrick and more — we came from all over to meet at the beach. We also met at various parties, 'Salisbury' Park (never Eisenhower to us), Uniondale Hot Line, and later on 'Middle Earth'. We sang songs. We played Winky Dink. We reveled in being wild and crazy and funny, but we were serious about our love for each other and for the world. We laughed, we sometimes cried, but mainly we helped each other through the tumultuous years of adolescence, united in friendship.
